Nevada Health Response Releases Industry-Specific Guidance for Phase 1 Reopening
Carson City, NV — Today, the Nevada Health Response Center, in coordination with the Local Empowerment Advisory Panel (LEAP), released industry-specific guidance for Phase 1 reopening, in alignment with the Nevada United: Roadmap to Recovery.

The guidance covers a wide-range of industries and was developed by the Local Empowerment Advisory Panel (LEAP) in conjunction with the Governor’s Office, public health officials and local health districts, business leaders, state agencies and state licensing and regulatory boards.

Yesterday, Gov. Steve Sisolak announced that Phase 1 reopening will being on Saturday, May 9.  During Phase 1, businesses may open, but have to follow the business and sector-specific guidance that the LEAP and the State drafted.
In line with the federally supported, state managed and locally executed response and recovery plan, county governments are empowered to tailor specific restrictions on business and public life, as long as those restrictions do not go below the standards the state has issued. Local government are also empowered with enforcing the standards.
Businesses are also empowered to impose stricter social distancing requirements than the statewide standards, as they deem necessary or appropriate. And I encourage these businesses to communicate the standards appropriately to their customers.
The industry-specific guidance can be found online at nvhealthresponse.nv.gov.
