Community Invited to Help Choose a New Logo to Represent Mohave College
MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is inviting community members to help choose one of the two final logo options for the rebranded Mohave College, which will officially adopt its new name in August 2025.
The rebranding initiative reflects the college’s growth and evolution into a comprehensive institution offering bachelor’s degrees, advanced workforce training, athletics and expanded corporate and community education programs. Officially, the institution’s legal name will remain as it has since 1971 - the Mohave County Community College District - but the front-facing name will change from Mohave Community College to Mohave College.
“This is an exciting milestone in our transition to Mohave College,” said Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, President of the College. “We are proud of the thoughtful work that has gone into this process, and now we’d like the community’s input to help choose a new logo.”
The logo survey at MohaveLogo.com is now open online, and provides everyone in the community with a chance to review the two final designs and choose which one should represent Mohave College. The survey is part of the college’s broader effort to engage the community throughout the rebranding process.
“The logo is obviously a big part of the institutional identity as we step into this new chapter,” said Dr. Klippenstein. “The logo is the primary symbol of the College, which continues its commitment to excellence and its expanding role to meet the needs of students and communities in the district.”
Why Rebrand Now?
The decision to transition from Mohave Community College to Mohave College was approved by the Board of Governors in September 2024. This move aligns with the college’s strategic initiatives to expand educational offerings, including the planned launch of bachelor’s degrees and the upcoming opening of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC) in the Fall of 2025 at the Kingman Airport Industrial Park.
Community surveys, focus groups and feedback from key stakeholders showed overwhelming support for the name change. A survey of nearly 500 respondents revealed that 72% support the change, with many emphasizing that “Mohave College” better communicates the quality and breadth of education and services the institution provides.
The college remains committed to its mission of serving Mohave County and its residents. Programs such as workforce training, dual enrollment, and partnerships with local businesses and schools will continue to be hallmarks of the institution.
