24 local teens will have the opportunity of a lifetime

Week-long camping trip at the Grand Canyon for Boys & Girls Club Teen Center

Bullhead AZ.  The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Colorado River Teen Center has been awarded a once in a lifetime scholarship from the Canyon Field School.  The scholarship will send 24 teens on a week long camping experience in the Grand Canyon.

Canyon Field School is a partnership between Grand Canyon Conservancy and the National Park Service that offers unique opportunities for youth to experience the great outdoors in the heights and depths of Grand Canyon National Park. Members will immerse themselves in learning about the history of the park, geology, astronomy, water, and land conservation.

“The majority of our members reported they have never seen the Grand Canyon in person even though we live only a few hours away. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for them to not only visit the Grand Canyon but explore it in depth, and they will remember this forever.”  - Club River Teen Center Director Erica Jones

The Canyon Field School trip is scheduled July 15th through the 19th. Enrolled and actively attending members will earn their spot on the trip by completing several tasks including workforce development activities, community service, and fundraising.

Club River Teen Center is Located at 967 Hancock Road Ste. 7, Bullhead City AZ, 86442.
Open Monday through Thursday after school to 7:00pm, and Fridays 7:30am to 7:00pm.
