MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL
MARCH 1-3, 2019
ON THE RIVERWALK
Mardi Gras returns March 1-3 with fantastic zydeco/blues/jazz music by two great bands on the Loading Dock stage! The Festival is held outdoors on the Riverwalk between the Colorado Belle and Edgewater Casino Resorts with free entertainment.
‘Howlin' King Crawdad’ and ‘Zydeco Mud Bugs featuring Madame Laroux’ will headline. Catch both bands in alternating sets all evening long on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Plan to dine at the festival! The menu features a variety of delectable Deep South influenced entrées including Creole Seafood Jambalaya, Sausage and Chicken Gumbo, Cajun Fried Chicken, Red Beans and Rice, Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Cornbread, and for dessert, Beignets and Bananas Foster with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. A variety of beverages will be available from Riverwalk vendors including Pints’ microbrewery’s What the Puck IPA, Pints Golden Ale, Pints Rehab Red and Hurricane cocktails. Festival hours are 2 pm-10 pm Friday and Saturday and Noon to 7 pm on Sunday.
About the festivals: Set on the scenic Riverwalk overlooking the Colorado River and desert mountains beyond, the Riverwalk connects the Edgewater and Colorado Belle Casino Resorts. Festivals feature free live weekend entertainment and food and beverage vendors. There is plenty of space to dance, stroll or just relax during the festivities! Subject to change or cancellation.
